Before becoming a Pirts Meister, I traveled around the world and was busy working as an Event Manager in Riga. However, one of my biggest passions is always “to connect with nature” as I came from a family where my grandmother taught me the beauty of Latvian forests and the power of plants when I was a child.

I acquired a Pirts Meister degree and became one of 80 certified Meisters in Latvia. I’m happy to share my experience and knowledge with the world.

Yuki has a mission to reconnect people with nature through The Latvian bathing rituals and serve as a liaison to help build cross-cultural connections between Japan and the Baltic countries.

Since 2016, I have traveled to over 12 countries and 37 cities and explored a variety of bathing cultures. I was struck by the Baltic ancient rituals so I went to Latvia to learn about the ancient ritual in 2019. I took a private lesson by Pirts Meister leva Kolosova and we started a project called “Forest Pirts”.

Forest Pirts aims to share Latvian wisdom and tradition with the world. In 2022, Yuki co-authored and published a first-ever Japanese pirts textbook, and also organized workshops partnered with Japan Spa and Sauna Association.
